Want some genuine Cajun and Creole cuisine, but trying to stay within budget? Then check out The Crescent Jewell Restaurant and Lounge in Downtown Riverside on Main Street. Everything from its menu, design, and entertainment screams New Orleans.
The owner, Norman Copeland and manager, Dorian Ross Stephens work together to maintain a fun and entertaining environment, as well as creating good food for an affordable price.
Some of the crowd favorites are The Crescent Jewell’s very Shrimp Creole, Shrimp and Grits, and Shrimp Po’Boy. All the items on the menu are original recipes and seasonings.
One of the main goals for Copeland and Stephens was to create a restaurant where people could afford excellent quality New Orleans cuisine. “At The Crescent Jewell, we try to offer a great meal for a great value, and great service,” says the owner, Norman Copeland.
Among the good food and good service, the restaurant/ lounge also provides a cool and exciting night life.
Live entertainment is provided every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Thursday night’s entertainment acknowledges local college artists and indie rock bands. Friday and Saturday nights are usually geared towards more R&B and soul performers.
Another weekend special is The Crescent Jewells’s Sunday brunch. The menu brunch is oriented to provide guests with a ‘hearty’ brunch buffet, starting at $14.99. For $17.99, the brunch can be upgraded to get an unlimited serving of mimosas and champagne.
At The Crescent Jewell, there is a little bit of everything for everyone. The restaurant invites and welcomes any guest to have a good time, good food, and good service, for a reasonable price.
