NAWBO-IE's 9th Annual Amazing Women Event (AWE) Proves AWE Inspiring

CORONA - Eagle Glen Golf Club in Corona, CA provided an amazing atmosphere as the venue for NAWBO-IE's Amazing Women Event (AWE) held April 19, 2012. The room was elegantly decorated and abuzz with well over 200 men and women eager to honor some of the region's most prolific business women and community leaders.

The Community Bridge Builder award went to Yolanda Carrillo of Corona-Norco Family YMCA. The Legacy award was presented to Cheryl Brown, publisher of Black Voice News. Breanne Houston, owner of T3 Fitness Energy, walked away with the Rising Star award. International speaker and author, R.J. Jackson "the Courage Giver" received the Trailblazer award. The Affiliate award was presented to Martha Munoz, director of Hispanic Business Alliance, High Desert. Honored with the Businesswoman of the Year award was Lynn Diamantopoulos of Athena Research Group, Inc. A special surprise recognition was presented to Josie Gonzales, Chairperson, San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors.

Each year, NAWBO presents scholarships to deserving business students. This year the first place scholarship ($1200.00) was awarded to Ashley Patnode, the second place prize ($800.00) was presented to Yukasa Shida and Nicole Kabah Johnny received the third place award ($500.00). NAWBO-IE's coveted A.N.I.T.A. award was presented to chapter president, Hilda Kennedy.
