CAAM Presents Cool Your Heels In The Shade

The California African American Museum (CAAM) will hold its annual summer party on Target Sunday, August 7, 2011, from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Co-hosted by Emmy Award-winning actress Jackée Harry and actor Jeffrey Anderson Gunter, Cool Your Heels In The Shade will feature a variety of live music performances, including old school R&B, gospel and jazz.

This family fun-filled event for all ages provides the perfect opportunity to keep active and beat the heat. Educator Teresa Tolliver will be providing another unique hands-on workshop for all ages beginning at 12pm in the cool indoor Courtyard.

Exhibitions will open at 11 a.m. Visitors may view the spotlight exhibition of the month, Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing: How the Apollo Theater Shaped American Entertainment, through September 14, 2011.

Mayor’s Jazz Jam Benefitting the Fontana Boys and Girls Club

The Mayor and City Council invite citizens, business owners and community partners to the First Annual Mayor’s Jazz Jam. Mayor Warren is hosting the Mayor’s Jazz Jam and all proceeds will directly benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Fontana. The Jazz Jam will be held at the Fontana Community Senior Center on October 8, 2011 from 6pm to 11pm.

It will be a night of great food, dancing and community. The tickets are $50.00 per person.

Beat the Heat - Staying Cool in the Summer

The San Bernardino County Office of Emergency Services recently distributed a California Department of Public Health news release regarding the prevention of heat illness. In advance of impending hot weather, we are providing additional information on how to "beat the heat", and suggestions for "cool places to go" should an excessive heat event become a life safety issue.

Inland Empire Auto Show Invites Fans And Followers To Check Out Daily Event And Industry Announcements On Facebook And Twitter

The Inland Empire Auto Show (IEAS), presented by the Ontario Auto Center, one of Southern California’s premier auto shows, is excited to announce the launch of the updated IEAS Facebook and Twitter accounts.
