As I finished reading my “Daily Bread,” this is what I took from the end of my study: “OUR GREATEST NEED, “ The most defining moment in anyone’s life is the decision to surrender to God by accepting Christ as their personal Savior. God’s Word, the Bible, tells us that our greatest need is not simply guidance in life; it’s a relationship with God. We can have this relationship through Jesus Christ alone, resulting in peace with our heavenly Father and the gift of eternal life with Him. If you’ve never taken this step of faith, remember that faith is not something you wait for like a letter in the mail. Rather, faith is something you step out on, like a bridge over a raging river. Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross. After three days, He rose from the dead and is now preparing a place for those who put their faith in Him. If you do that, you will become a child of the living God and an heir of eternal life. As a suggestion, pray something like this: Heavenly Father, I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He came and died to pay the penalty for the sins I have committed. I ask you to forgive me, and to give me the gift of eternal life You promised. Come into my life, and cause me to be born again. Amen. How powerful is this for us for 2013.

Let me share with you what happened to me on 12/31/12 as an example of God’s grace and protection. As I got in my car, I prayed before I left to go to the store to finish my new year’s dinner. When I got to the store, I pushed the grocery basket to an electronic cart, the cart seemed to be having some trouble and I left my purse in the basket and forgot it. To make a long story short, I did not realize that I had left my purse in the basket and to my great joy my Guarding Angel had turned it in to the office and there was nothing missing with all those people in the grocery store. My favor had already started before 2013. It is my turn and my time. To the believers; this year will be the best ever and if you believe and trust God He will bless you in ways we could never think of. I know that God can do anything but fail.

A few years ago I met a young lady who was very pleasant and a joyful person. She has a very beautiful voice. Her name is Rose Mallett. Rose has performed many times for the Moreno Valley Black Chamber of Commerce’s different events. Rose was born in Chicago, Illinois where she started singing at a very early age. Rose’s family relocated to Los Angeles. At the age of 16, she formed an R&B singing group with three girlfriends and they were discovered by the singing duo Sam & Dave, who offered them an opportunity to record a demo at Capitol Records. After the demo, they were offered a recording contract. Years later, Rose was introduced to such greats as Marvin Gaye. That exposure led to a working relationship with Motown producer, Hal Davis. Rose sang professionally in various nightclubs across the U.S., as well as acting in musical theatre productions. Rose appeared as herself in a singing role in Guinevere, a Miramax film starring Stephen Rea. Rose has received exceptional training from the Dick Grove School of Music with Roger Love as her vocal coach and vocal/stage performance instruction by Phil Moore, former orchestra director at Universal Studios. As a sidenote, Phil once taught actress and legend, Dorothy Dandridge. If you need her for an event please e-mail rosemallett@.com.

Until next time let us remember the greatest command that God gave us to Love one another.

Be Blessed!
