In my readings of Oswald Chambers I came across this: “His Agony and Our Fellowship,” he wrote, “we can never fathom the agony in Gethsemane, but at least we need not misunderstand it. It is the agony of God and Man in one, face to face with sin. We know nothing about Gethsemane in personal experience.” Gethsemane and Calvary stand for something unique; they are the gateway into life for us. It was not the death on the cross that Jesus feared in Gethsemane; He stated most emphatically that He came on purpose to die. In Gethsemane He feared lest He might not get through as Son of Man. He would get through as Son of God- -- Satan could not touch Him there; The agony in Gethsemane is the agony of the Son of God in fulfilling His destiny as the Savior of the world. Every human being can get through into the presence of God now because of what the Son of Man went through. Let’s study the word more in 2013 to really understand our destiny, and why.

To the readers this has been a year to remember for some of us it has had its ups and downs but through it all we are and have been blessed. When we look throughout the world and see all that has gone on, I’m not saying that it has been easy; no it hasn’t, but we have had God on our side and we must trust Him. His promises are yes and amen. Let us not forget what God Has given the Man of God that stands before us every Sunday and proclaim the word from the book of life. And to my friends and readers, I will leave this with you who lost loved ones this past year. Soul Secrets for the death of someone you love. O Lord, I have lived this day to bury one I love. My gratitude is as full as my grief, and my peace is as deep as my pain—all because of you. I need You as never before; Shepherd my soul through these dry and heavy days. You send us to this earth for a season, and then You receive us again unto Yourself. I understand the cycle, but I wasn’t quite as ready to let go of this one as I thought I’d be. All my life I’ve known that someday this would happen, but the finality and reality of it are piercing. One thing I know, that death cannot kill love and human hands can’t bury it. On this, my loved one’s resurrection day, I give You praise for a life lived well. As servants of God, He allows us to live well. Even though we have some ups and downs.

But if you just look around we are still blessed. This year will and is better, because it is your time. Let nothing stop your FAITH.

To the Family: (The Browns’ & Staff) God bless you always and thank you for allowing me to be a part of this awesome journey that we are all on. We have lived to see Mrs. Brown be elevated to such a wonderful place in the government and who knows the region more than her. We are blessed.

We are blessed to have so many educated people in the family and so many people of wisdom but most of all the LOVE is there and that is the one thing God commanded us to do. Oh my this 2013 year is going to be off the hook.

Be Blessed!
J.B.
