“A FRUIT THAT PRODUCES GOLD” by Brenda Gittens: Sometimes you can read what someone else is struggling with and it helps you to get on the right track. I want to share this with you: Patience can be defined as consistency, waiting, endurance, perseverance, and not giving up. We have to be patient, especially with one another. Don’t give up on folks so quickly, give them a little time. And we have to be patient with ourselves and what we are faced with. We’re striving towards perfection and God is in us. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete. Lacking nothing. (James 1:2–4). Patience is a process that is good for us and it’s also a fruit of the Spirit that coincides with these other fruits -- faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, and longsuffering. We learn through it. The best is the result of it. (Romans 5:3-5) tells us we can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us they help us to learn to endure. And endurance develops strength of character in us and character strengthens our confident expectation of salvation.

Moreno Valley is set to add view cams: The Police Department held six meetings to discuss a surveillance camera system with the residents. An awarded contract of nearly $2 million for a citywide surveillance system has been planned. The cameras will not be used for traffic enforcement. The cameras placed in the parks will have one-way speakers so police can warn vandals they are being watched. We as residents will see how this will work for us.

The Moreno Valley Black Chamber’s Mixer is today beginning at 6:00 p.m. at BBVA Compass Bank, Canyon Crest Drive, Riverside. The Theme for the mixer is “A Taste Of Moreno Valley Black Chamber Of Commerce’s Chef’s.” Come and taste hors d’oeuvres by local chefs. The chefs will provide small samples of their specialties. Their tasteful presentations are just in time for the holidays and that special event you plan to have.

Let us not forget to pray for one another, and show the love that God showed us. The Lord really blessed as He sent me the surprise of my life with my youngest son, James (Jay) coming home today who I had not seen in two years. He also surprised me with my son Darrell coming to visit. What a mighty God we serve. I will share more next week.
