Daily devotional is such a wonderful time to start your day early in the morning, so when things go wrong and they sometimes do, we are in a better place to obey God. When I read this by Kerri Ann Haye-Donawa, I said “this is me:” Learning To Obey - I am a dreamer, which means that many times when God has a message He wants to get across to me – a warning, a promise, a prophetic word—He delivers it in a dream while I am sleeping. Even now, as I look back at some of the things God has revealed to me concerning my own life before it happened. And how He’s protected me from great harm time and time again, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. In (Galatians 5:25) Paul says, “Since we are living by the SPIRIT, let us follow the SPIRIT’s leading in every part of our lives.” There is no profit in God speaking to us if we refuse to listen, and there’s no benefit in Him guiding us if we do not follow His directions. For me I must listen or I will not sleep no matter how tired I am. I must hear God when He speaks to me. And God with His amazing powers I never have to look for the person, place, or thing. He places it so I may relay the message.

“Where Dreams Soar” Moreno Valley on August 5th the Lord called home our dear friend and longtime resident of the city for her just reward. And on August 10, 2012, we all gathered at her wonderful celebration of life held at Trinity Baptist Church. We celebrated with her husband and best friend Edgar Davis, Jr., Son Byron K. Davis, Vera’s grandchildren, sister Elwanda Deason of Snellville, Ga. and many other family members, friends were there to celebrate. Many spoke encouraging words to Dave and the family. Minister Joseph Gueste said remember your last hug, kiss, or smile, in other words, be careful how you treat people it may be your last time here on earth. I am sure everyone heard a wonderful message from Pastor Gueste he spoke from 11 Timothy. To Vera my longtime friend, so long I will see you later. Dave, Byron do what you do and let the Lord do the rest I am a living witness God can take care of you and the family.

Moreno Valley: Dorothy Pryor has saved my bacon many times when I did not want to make my own pies and cakes with or without sugar. I encourage you to come together and send up prayers for Mommie Helen’s Bakery. We know that God can change things in a heartbeat.

To Brown Publishing, I wish you another forty years so you may keep on “Building Better Communities,” most of all we can learn to love one another. Because without love there is no you or no me. I wish to thank you for opening new doors for me, most of all giving me a chance. If for nothing else, I Love you with all my heart and I pray for you always. May you live long and stay strong.
