While studying my “Daily Devotional,” I was thinking of what it is like “Growing Older With Grace.” I turned on my computer and there was Brenda Gittens speaking on growing older with grace. It starts like this: The subject of aging has been deep in my spirit. And I do not mind growing older. It is some of the things associated with getting older that I do not like. Cleaning your own home, cutting your grass and gardening, walking, and moving my furniture where I want it to be and many other things. Is it true that God has given us all we need to enjoy life now? Those who are rich in this world are not to be proud and not trust in their money, which will soon be gone. But trust in the living God, who richly gives us all we need for us to enjoy. (1 Timothy 6:17, 2 Corinthians 5:1-10).

As I was reading the paper this morning, I was carried back to the 50’s and 60’s with bullying and racism. It is the 21st century and no I’m not so out of my mind that I have no idea that things are not still going on. I’m well aware as to where we are today. It is time out for foolishness, we have more pressing things to think about than to look at the color of someone’s skin or bullying people just because you can. We need to wonder if my job is going to be there to feed my family, pay my house note, etc. Just because you are a supervisor or a plant manager does not mean your job will be there. The greatest thing we can do is to thank God that we have a job to care for our families. We need our leaders to spend their time making sure that the State get the help we need. We must learn to treat one another as we want to be treated. How can we as adults teach our children or our grandchildren how to live with our fellow man and we are acting up. “Are we not our brother’s keeper?” The way things are today we must learn to “respect one another and the greatest command is that we “LOVE ONE ANOTHER.” I want the best in life, to be happy. I want the best for you also, we are a family.

Someone sent this to me and I wanted to share it with you. GOD WROTE MY RESUME. Jacob was a cheater, Peter had a temper, David had an affair, Noah got drunk, Jonah ran from God, Paul was a murderer, Gideon was insecure, Miriam was a gossiper, Martha was a worrier, Thomas was a doubter, Sarah was impatient, Elijah was depressed, Moses stuttered, Zaccheus was short, Abraham was old, and Lazarus was dead. God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called. You are not perfect, but God is working in your life anyway.
