Worship evangelist, Brenda Gittens shared this and I’m sharing it with you: “JESUS, WE CELEBRATE YOUR VICTORY.” She stated, I will never forget the Easter Sunday morning, when I attended the service at a California State prison where I was scheduled to minister in song. Weeks before while preparing, the Holy Spirit gave me the songs to sing and they all dealt with VICTORY in Jesus on this resurrection Day. I wanted to share this message in song with the inmates because the Lord’s death and resurrection -- the power of sin, death, hell, and the grave have been defeated. Put all of this together, it equals VICTORY! The theme of the month at the prison chapel was Obedience. Before the guest pastor brought the message, he made it clear that every song had confirmed the message he was to preach and that was, “Victory through Obedience.” People, we celebrate His victory because His victory means we also have victory. Satan had his major victories in the Garden of Eden and at the Cross --or so he thought -- but God turned Satan’s victory into defeat when Jesus rose from the dead. Jesus opened the door from death to life and gave us the victory. Think of the song pastor Donnie McClurkin sung Just For Me, Jesus came and did it just for me. Read your Bible prayerful and think.

Moreno Valley I would love to share this with you. Last month I had the pleasure of visiting with my middle son Darrell and his son Jacob Barnes. It was a wonderful visit. We had some very long and wonderful conversations and a lot was learned. But the most important thing was a lot of good “OLD” memories. I ask that you remember all my children in your prayer time and Darrell as he is about to have surgery in a few days. I thank each and every one of you for your kindness. Time Alone With God, “Make Every Moment Count,” I have often heard people say in my walk “It don’t take all that!” My faith in God tells me, it takes all that and then some. Spending time with God is the most important thing you can do during your day. One moment with Jesus can change your life. It can change the course of your day. If you rise early to pray, it can stop demonic influences from taking your day in a different direction (Exodus 14:24). You can literally re-route demons. Spending time with the Lord is a valuable offering of one’s self and it is a sacrifice. It’s saying to God, “I know what my plans are but I know you are knowing” (Psalm 139: 1-6). It is also saying, bottom line, I love you more than anything or anyone, you are important to me.” Spending time with Jesus is telling Him you love Him and you want more of Him. Taking this time will transform your life.
