As we come to the close of another year, I read this week’s topic: “Finishing Well” by Brenda Gittens. She wrote THE FINISHING LINE. The time is here again, the end of another year. For many reading this, 2011 has been a year of processing, shaping, formatting and fitting. Yes, the trials and hard times came, and are still here, but we have to really know and believe that they came, and are still here, only to make us strong. Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything. (James 1:2-4, NLT). In the year to come 2012, we can still have the experience of God “having our back.” Stay away from the love of money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never forsake you.” That is why we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5-6, NLT). Dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice – the kind He will find acceptable. Is this too much to ask? (Romans 12:1, NLT). We must have confidence deep down within that only comes from God the Father. We must know who we are in him and move forward in Him. Okay, I’ll see you later! 2012 for me is going to be a year of experiencing that vision, dream, or promise that I’ve been working on, holding onto, and waiting on God to do and complete through me. Now all we have to do is crossover into 2012 and start a new “workout” (processing, shaping, formatting, fitting), getting ready for the upcoming experiences mentioned above. In the “workout” we have to put our total trust, increased faith, and dependency in and upon the coach of our track team, the Lord our God.
HELLO MORENO VALLEY
“Where Dreams Soar”
Moreno Valley & The Inland Empire: What a year it has been. To God be the glory. He has kept us through it all. We have had some good times and many of us have had some sad times. We were never promised that these times would not come. God promised that He would never leave us.
And as we look back we know it was only God that kept us. Because recession did not rest in your house nor was their any lake in your home. God opened doors that were needed open and closed the ones that needed to be close.
Here are a few gardening tips: Yes, it’s time to get ready for your best garden ever. Plant here and there some Caraway to loosen the soil. When planting beans, celery, or parsley soak the seeds for about 20 minutes, it improves germination. Here is a quick tip: When you buy celery cut the bottom off and push it in a pot or the ground and it will grow and give you more celery. Also you can cut the top off a pineapple and put it in a jar of water, change the water when needed and it will root. Then plant it in a large pot and what a beautiful plant it will make and maybe bear a pineapple. You must get your garden ready for 2012, clean out all weeds and the weeds seeds. I will give more at a later date.
To my beloved readers I’ve been asked to teach in detail about gardening. It all started with the First Lady Michelle Obama’s idea of us eating healthy and living longer. I feel so honored to do so. I’m asking for your prayers because I know the prayers of the religious will go far. I’m thanking you in advance because God has so much planed for me in 2012.
You will read this next year! In order to follow the plan you must stay focused and know that no matter how it looks, you are right where you are to be in life. It is time for us to go to work. More next time.
