LOYALTY THE QUALITY OF BEING LOYAL: In a far larger sense, an eternally important sense, each believer enjoys the love of Christ, our faithful friend and brother. We are loved, cherished, and protected by the one who would give His life for ours, someone who did give His life for ours! His love and loyalty will never end. Jesus walks with us through the dark valleys of our questioning, stubbornness, disappointment, and despair. Still, His allegiance, grace, and commitment never waiver. He never grows tired. He will never leave us or forsake us. Jesus has promised to guard and shield us. No matter what happens, He walks beside us to guide, help, and comfort. In times of joy and times of trouble, our Lord treasures His relationship with us. He invites us to spend time with Him, as we bask in the warmth of His Friendship. Will we reciprocate? Will we respond by offering back to Him our loyalty and allegiance in return? Will we live to honor the one who died for us?

Let us finish what God has Ordained about “Marriage.” Too many people today throw away a partner or a parent! Have you ever thought how we would feel if we found all of a sudden that God had thrown us away? That He no longer wants to hear from us, or that we have acted like we no longer love Him? Commitment is a binding force in a good marriage and in a friendship or relationship.
Has commitment gone the way of the four winds? In a world that seems to teach selfishness and “what’s in it for me?” it appears that commitment has been thrown out the window. One of the most satisfying rewards of a good marriage is the sense of being the most important person in the world to another person. The media makes the lives of self indulgent folks not only commonplace, but presents them to be right and acceptable. Rarely does the media show the joy that can come in a wholesome marriage and family life, according to God’s commandments.
“Nevertheless, nei ther is the man without the woman nor the woman without the man, in the Lord.” (Corinthians 11:11). Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter–Day Saints believe marriage is sacred and also believe in marriage for time and all eternity, and have their marriages sealed in a sacred temple.
When marriages fail, people fail. We should think long and hard as we cast away a partner and commitment. That means think long and hard before we make a commitment. Marriage was and still is, ordained by God. Let us remember what commitment means in whatever we do. To God be the glory.
