The recently held Meet and Greet Moreno Valley Black Chamber Of Commerce was a great success. All candidates that were registered to speak had their say. Congressional Candidate Steve Pougnet 45th District sent a representative, Carl Wood 65th District, Moreno Valley City Council Marcia Amino, District 2 and Alvin C. Horn, Dist rict 2, Mayor Gwendolyn Cross, District 4 and incumbent Bonnie Flickinger, District 4, Moreno Valley Unified School District Jesus M. Holguin, Cleveland “CJ” Johnson and Oscar Valdepena. It is up to us as to who we VOTE for but whatever you do VOTE on November 2, 2010.

Saturday, October 9, 2010, I attended a Windows 7 Professional for Small and Midsize Business Summit hosted by Linda D. Wright, CEO/President Of Moreno Valley Black Chamber. The instructor was John Mallory. He spoke about Office 2010, Windows 7 and how you can get online training.

The class was well attended and Mr. Mallory was a good instructor.

Here are some dates to remember: Thursday, November 4th at 7:00 p.m. Cathedral Of Praise, 1521 S. Riverside Avenue, Rialto, invites the public to the “WOW” (Word Of Wisdom) Service. Attire is casual, All pastors, please RSVP by October 15th for a special reception to be held immediately following service. Zion Baptist Church Nashville, Tenn. On Friday, November 5th, will be Amazing Friday. An amazing evening out for married couples and the marriage minded.

There will be sessions for both groups followed by dinner and dancing. This is a night you do not want to miss. It starts at 6:00 p.m. This event is open to everyone.

The Moreno Valley Section of The National Council Of Negro Women, Bethune Recognition Program will be held Saturday, November 13, 2010, 12:00 p.m. at the Hap Arnold Club March Air Reserve Base. This is the 36th Annual Recognition Program themed Harnessing Inter–Generational Power.
