Oswald Chambers said in Isaiah 53:3 A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; We have to recognize that sin is a fact, not a defect; sin is red – handed mutiny against God. Either God or sin must die in my life. The New Testament brings us right down to this one issue, If sin rules in me, God’s life in me will be killed; if God rules in me, sin will be killed. There is no possible ultimate but that. The climax of sin is that it crucified Jesus Christ, and what was true in your history of God on earth will be true in your history and in mine. In our mental outlook we have to reconcile ourselves to the fact of sin as the only explanation as to why Jesus Christ came, and as the explanation of the grief and sorrow in life. That is why we do not sorrow as though we have no hope, read your Bible and Think!
HELLO MORENO VALLEY
From the Moreno Valley Black Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Linda D. Wright:
The great granddaughter of self-made millionaire, Madame C.J. Walker desires to speak at the MADAME C.J. WALKER LUNCHEON! Last year, Linda went all out to reach out to Ms. A’Lelia Bundles for the luncheon but could not reach her.
Linda decided to try again this year and Ms. Bundles was happy to hear of another Black Chamber honoring her grandmother. Due to scheduling conflicts, May 15th was not a good date but May 21, 2010 was. Last year’s luncheon was a great success.
This is an opportunities for businesses and the community to partner in this historic moment. If you would be interested in purchasing ticket(s) and/or a table, contact the Chamber. The ticket price is starting at $50.00 to $60.00 per person, and $400.00 to $480.00 per table. Let us hear from you by March 31, 2010, with your intention to purchase tickets and/or a table. Moreno Valley we must keep in touch with our health. I really thought that I was doing a great job but I was not. Almost two years ago they said I had the big “D” (diabetes).
This is not a good thing for me, I had worked so hard not to have it. For me the word is that “I” have it, It does not have me. In today ‘s paper it estimates 21 million Americans have Type 2 diabetes and that they are at enormous risk for heart disease. If you notice I used the word “they” are at risk. I will do my best at eating and living healthy and God will do the rest. But remember we must do our part too. MoVal and the Inland Empire let us come together and beat this disease.
