Today it is raining, and I was reading what Alan Riley wrote, “Let your mind be in Christ:” In my mind’s eye the sun was shining and I was pain free. In the early book of Proverbs, we are told, “as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7). But Paul says “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” (NKJV) The New International Version puts it this way. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. The attitude of Jesus was that of humility and love. It is His humility that allowed Him ~ the sinless Son of God to take on the role of a servant, and even died a humiliating death at the hands of men. Let us remember where we want our mind to be at all times. Read your Bible prayerfully and think.

Moreno Valley this past weekend was a great celebration. Mr. And Mrs. Charles Grant longtime residents of this City returned to share their 50th wedding anniversary with friends and family. Charles retired from March Air Reserve Base and Mattie retired from the Moreno Valley School District. Mattie and Charles are the proud parents of three children that graduated from MoVal schools. Charles and Mattie were married December 30, 1959. We were very glad to share this time with them as many spoke of the wonderful times and what the Grant’s meant to them over the years. They graced us with the first dance and after, the celebration was on. Mattie and Charles, may you share many more years together. God Bless you both.
