This is something that Milan Ford, a lover of Red Vines Licorice and many other things wrote about Streaming Faith, in his first book “83 Things I Wish The Black Church Would Stop Doing”, which was ranked #1 on Amazon.com To paraphrase what he wrote, he said that what you are about to read is going to make you laugh. But will also make you think . He will never forget the e–mail he received from a friend that was struggling with the terms of a new year’s fast and consecration. Although she knew the importance of fasting, she did not think she could make it. This is the e–mail “Milan, This may sound crazy, but I came real close to putting a piece of chicken in my blender the other night. Not sure if I can keep up this liquid-only thing. Pray for me…” Are we really (as believers) this undisciplined? It is now 2010. It is time to move beyond where we were last year. If you don’t do anything else… “Step Away From The Blender.”

Moreno Valley: This past Saturday, January 9, 2010, was one of the saddest and yet happy times for me. On January 4, 2010, God called a friend home to be with Him, BONNIE HELEN EUBANKS. This is very sad for me as Bonnie and I were friends for over thirty years. We worked many years in the medical field. Bonnie and I both raised seven children here in Moreno Valley. We often spoke of what we wanted for our children in life, most of all to be career minded, strong, God fearing, loving and independent young men and women. This is what I’m happy about these young men and women are just that. To Sharon, Ann, Lynn, Carolyn, Edward, Steven and Terance Eubanks and the son-in-laws and daughter-in-laws, it was an honor and a pleasure to share old times and now future times. Bonnie loved her family, the theater, concerts, musicals and playing bingo. Bonnie loved to travel and most of the time her best friend Ann Mabry was with her. Carolyn what a wonderful host you and yours were to all of us in your home. Yes it is true we love the nail, feet and hair doing. May God forever shine upon you. May the wind always be at your back. GOD BLESS a job well done.
Moreno Valley and the Inland Empire: I would like to share with you someone that is very dear to my heart. My Pastor Bishop Craig Ward Johnson has been nominated by the Chosen Women of Faith Ministries, for the Royal Priest Award. The Royal Priest Award nominees are chosen based on demonstrated evidence of leadership that has advanced the church/community in three key areas: (1) spiritual growth; (2) ministry advancement; and (3) missions involvement. If you would like to vote for my beloved pastor, the deadline is February 15, 2010 at www.kb-awards.com . I’m just spreading and sharing with you about my pastor. The ceremony will be held March 27, 2010.
Let us remember that the recession was real, but we must also not stay there. Focus on the things ahead that our redeemer lives as we walk, doors are being opened for us and let us walk into them the keywords are “FAITH, BELIEVE in what the word said just for you, TRUST no matter how it looks it will work for you, DO NOT GIVE UP, help someone along the way, never forget the ones that have less than you. UNITY and LOVE, everyone out on the streets doesn’t want to be there.
