Juanita BarnesJesus Our Friend, By Jack Zavada: “A rule I have had for years is to treat Jesus as a personal friend. His is not a creed, a mere doctrine, but it is He Himself we have.” When Jesus came into the world in human form, He made it possible for us to become adopted sons and daughters in God’s family, co-heirs with Him to the gift of eternal life with the Father. But He gave us another Christmas gift few of us ever open and He saw that as much as we need a savior we also need a friend. Read (John 15:15 NIV). What better friend could you have? He never gets tired of listening to us steadfastly. He forgives your faults. He supports and encourages when you need it the most. So as we go into this new manifested year let us get closer to our Friend. It is easy if you and I read His word daily.
